    1. A person commits the offense of Forgery when he or she makes, alters, completes, executes, or authenticates any writing so that it purports to be one of the following: 1) The act of another who did not authorize the act; 2) A writing executed at a time or place or in a numbered sequence other than was in fact the case; or 3) A copy of an original when no such original existed.

    2. A person commits the offense of Forgery when he or she issues, transfers, registers the transfer of, passes, publishes, or otherwise utters a writing that is forged.
